About Esther
Meet Esther Weinberg
A personal note from Esther
I’m beyond excited and proud to share that we just received the Certified LGBT Business Enterprise® (Certified LGBTBE®) certification through the NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative. As someone who grew up as a heterosexual woman I did what was expected of me – go to school, get a good job, have boyfriends, get married to a good man and live in a good neighborhood and give back. Yet when I look back, all those memories and time of living was true and accurate for me except there was always something that felt off and for years I had no idea what it was. It’s as if you are living in someone else’s clothes or even identity at certain points until life calls and you listen differently. In 2009 while driving down La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, I was hit with a new awareness that took me years to really come to terms with – that I was gay. While some would argue that being gay is a choice, it’s not. It’s the stepping into owning who you are…finally. And finally being willing to courageously admit to yourself and others who you know yourself to be truly.
Being an NGLCC Certified Business is not simply an honoring of self, it’s an acknowledgement of the responsibility to give back, to show and demonstrate those of the LGBTQIA+ community of what is possible and to show myself what also is continually possible. I have had so many incredible role models who have shown me in all ways that living a life of alignment is not a luxury, it’s a necessity to being true to who you are.
Thank you so dearly to all of my life mentors, friends, colleagues and clients who have shown me what it is to live a life of integrity. This list is not simply of those of the LGBTQIA+ community, they are those who have inspired me, pushed me and have shown me what it is to live a life of being you 🙂
